The Music Hub is the independent music company we run with producer, songwriter and artist Rowan Smeets. We stay close to the people who make the music and know the business around it, from the first session to the release and beyond.
Gish Music Group focuses on management, rights and the business arrangements behind careers and partnerships. The Music Hub brings the label, publishing and artist management together, alongside the writing and production work with Rowan. We work with managed artists, and with independent artists, writers, producers and labels who need help with one part of their work.
Label and distribution
We release music through our own labels and work with independent artists and partner labels on distribution. Release planning, metadata, delivery, pitching to streaming services and royalty reporting, with one point of contact from the finished master to the release.
Publishing
The Music Hub is often involved while a song is being written, so the splits, the registrations and the plan for where it can go, to an artist, a label or a sync, start in the session too. Songs and catalogues are represented, registered and administered, and royalties are followed up.
Artist management
We manage a select group of artists, songwriters and producers and work with them on their creative and commercial direction. We take care of the deals, the planning and the partners that turn those plans into releases and shows.
Pitching
Songs, toplines, writers and producers introduced to the artists, managers, labels and publishers that are looking for them, and sessions, co-writes and camps set up. We built our own pitching software to match songs with what artists and labels are actually looking for and to follow up properly. The pitch itself is always personal.
Writing, production, mixing and mastering
Rowan Smeets writes and produces for artists, producers and labels in pop, dance and electronic music, and mixes and masters releases, also for artists who are not managed or published by The Music Hub.
